Hydrangea

It was cloudy this morning so Mt.Fuji could not be seen clearly.

In japan, the rainy season usually lasts from middle June to early July.
Hydrangea (Japanese name "AJISAI") blooms beautifully in the rainy season.

The colors of AJISAI vary from white to aqua, to light pink, and to light purple.

Gaku-Ajisai(Hydrangea macrophylla) is a popular seed from the hydrangea.

Aki Sakura (June 16th)

In Japan, we are in a period of time called the 'Break of the Rainy season'. Although this morning was fine and Mt.Fuji looked very beautiful.

Cosmos were in bloom on the roadside. It's ancient name was Aki-Sakura (Autumn Cherry Blossoms). It's because the shape of the flower is similar to Cherry blossoms and it blooms in Autumn, although some bloom in early summer.

Bellflower

This morning was cloudy and Mt.Fuji had a cap of cloud.

Bell flowers called 'HOTARU-BUKURO' were in bloom on the roadside.
Hotaru means Firefly and Bukuro(hukuro) means bag.
The name comes from children that catch fire flies and bring them back in this flower.

June 11th, Monday

I go walking every morning unless it rains, and this morning was cloudy. Mt.Fuji could not be seen clearly.

My walking path is through a rose garden. Right now is the best season for the path, because the roses had began to bloom. There are many varieties of roses including red, pink, yellow, and white.

Introduction to the heroin of the blog

Bowwow ! A little bit about me.
I am "COCO", a female Japanese dog. As you can see, I have lovely dark brown eyes and a coat of light brown fur. My breed is called "SHIBA-INU" or "SHIBA-KEN", which is one of the most popular dogs in Japan. I heard that "SHIBA-KEN" is the oldest companion-dog of Japanese human beings. "INU" or "KEN" means dog(s) in Japanese. Would you like to know more about us? General information is available on the American Kennel Club website (http://www.akc.org/breeds/shiba_inu/index.cfm), and Wikipedia(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiba_Inu).

I was born and raised in Mishimia, located about 30km south-east of Mt. Fuji, in Japan.
Now, Let's go walking!
